Eating Disorder Treatment- 'First Step' & 'Last Step' Option

One of the main focuses we have in building Kristine's eating disorder private practice is to be a fully functional 'first step' AND 'last step' option to those looking to recover and/or better understand their eating disorder.

What is a 'first step' option?

If you aren't sure if a higher level of care is needed, if financial restraints and insurance coverage is impeding your ability to get started, or if after working together we determine you may need a higher level of care, I will help you to prepare and ensure you fully understand your options. It is important to consider the many pros and cons of the various programs available based on your individual needs. I will also take it a few steps closer than most by connecting you directly with my personal contacts, some of whom I have known and worked alongside of as a part of other treatment teams over the years.

What is a 'last step' option?

If you are about to or have recently discharged from an Inpatient (IP), Residential (RTC), Partial Hospitalization (PHP), or Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) I will “step you down” with seamless continuity by working directly with your prior team to best transition you home. Many of the nations most respected eating disorder treatment programs refer their clients to me in their aftercare planning because they recognize how crucial the transition home is to establishing routines on the road to long-term recovery. Since I have spent years in roles leading the nutrition programs in a higher level of care as well as the outpatient level, I can offer a highly customized and very unique service that will exponentially increase your continued success in recovery from your eating disorder.

If you are curious if Kristine can be your first or last step contact us and we will be happy to speak with you.

When an eating disorder took over my life, Kristine was perhaps the biggest reason why I was able to take back control of my life and physical/mental health. I cannot thank her enough. Kristine is the very best person you want to seek out if you are struggling with food/eating/body challenges.
